One of the hallmarks of WDET’s work in the community is our partnerships with cultural organizations, and no better example is out there than the station’s support of the Detroit Symphony’s “Mix @ The Max” event. The monthly series is designed to introduce musicians you may not otherwise see or hear. They’ll have a classical side to them, but they’re unique and original.
WDET’s Sandra Svoboda hosts the monthly gatherings at the Max M. Fisher Music Center. This Wednesday, April 15, the string quintet Sybarite5 is performing. Sandra recently spoke with band members Sami Merdinian and Louis Levitt about their unique music. You can listen to the interview above.
