Should Adoption Agencies Be Allowed To Decide Who They Serve Based on Religion?

A State House committee has approved bills to shield faith-based adoption agencies from having to serve gay couples even if the U.S. Supreme Court rules that same-sex marriage is legal. Civil rights groups are challenging the legislation, saying it would enshrine religious discrimination.WDET’s Pat Batcheller asked Michigan Public Radio’s Rick Pluta to explain.
