Feds: New Soo Lock Necessary for Nation’s Economy, Security

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says there needs to be a new Soo Lock built in Michigan to handle large ships. Only one such lock exists currently. If it fails the Army says it could cripple deliveries of steel and threaten the nation’s economy and security.
