CultureShift and 101.9 WDET are excited to partner with the Detroit-based band Double Winter to premiere the music video for their single “Hot Stones.”

Directed by Noah Elliott Morrison, the video finds the indie trio in a kaleidoscopic fever dream performing against refreshing pastel color palettes and intermixed with grainy made-for-TV clips of ‘80s nostalgia. It matches the sound of the band, which is a blend of psychedelic pop with punk roots.

Double Winter is a band of working artists, so running a simple concept and making it vibrant was easy,” says Morrison, who filmed the video in Detroit. “It was only the five of us the whole time with some really critical assistance in advance from SMPLFD Clothing and the Velvet Tower Vintage.”
