While the musicians and team behind the project is the same, Jax Anderson won’t be using the moniker of Flint Eastwood anymore.

On her new “Heal” EP out now, she’s stepping out with her own name and own experiences woven into the sound and lyrics of her latest project.

During a visit to the WDET studios for an interview on CultureShift, Anderson highlighted a trio of tracks — “Heal,” “Made” and single “Scared to Death.”

To coincide with the release of her new EP, Anderson is curating an art exhibition called “Heal” at Assemble Sound on Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It’s free and open to the public of all ages with additional hours on Sunday, November 24th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Alongside Anderson’s own photography work will be pieces from Detroit artists like Bakbak Durden, Papier Tabloid, Good Pals, Lansuh and Bre’Ann White.
