Over the past four years, the Murals in the Market street art festival has helped bring about 150 vivid murals by local and international artists to Detroit’s historic Eastern Market neighborhood.

Now a new book from Detroit-based publishing house 1xRun will bring the street art of Eastern Market to your coffee table via a gorgeous, full-color 160-page hardcover photo book.

“Murals in the Market, Vol. 1” will be released later this year, but WDET listeners like you can get your hands on this limited edition book with a one-time gift of $200 ahead of our spring fundraiser.

With the festival returning for its fifth year this September, it continues to expand its footprint beyond Eastern Market while highlighting issues like fresh food access in Detroit as well as putting a spotlight on a diverse roster of local artists like Freddy Diaz, Sabrina Nelson and Tony WHLGN.
