It’s not every weekend in Detroit that you get the chance to see the legendary David Bowie concert film “Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders of Mars” on the big screen.

On Saturday night at the Senate Theater on Michigan Avenue in Detroit, music and film lovers alike will get their chance as part of a fundraiser to raise money for a new marquee for the historic theater.

The night will be rounded out by a live musical performance from Heartthrob Chassis.

CultureShift’s Amanda LeClaire spoke with Senate Theater volunteers Lindsey Robillard and Zoe Villegas to learn more about the event and the Senate Theater itself.
