Schuette, Whitmer Set to Debate for the First Time in Grand Rapids

Friday is the first debate between Democrat and Republican nominees for governor Gretchen Whitmer and Bill Schuette.

The debate goes from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at WOOD-TV studios in Grand Rapids. Broadcaster Rick Albin will moderate.

Detroit Today host Stephen Henderson speaks with Michigan Public Radio Network state Capitol correspondent Cheyna Roth and Detroit Today producer Jake Neher — the team behind MichMash — about the upcoming debate and some of the critical issues facing the gubernatorial candidates.
