Funk Brother Dennis Coffey Releases “One Night at Morey’s: 1968”

Detroit guitarist Dennis Coffey performed on countless Motown classics, but also packed Detroit clubs. One night in 1968, he recorded one performance that created the second of two CDs.

Ann Delisi talks with Funk Brother Dennis Coffey about performing with drummer Melvin Davis and organist Lyman Woodward 50 years ago, the session that he remembers most and what it was like sitting in that small Hitsville studio with 10 other Funk Brothers creating music history.
