It’s been five years since critically-acclaimed band Rhye arrived on the scene with their debut album “Woman” in 2013.

Ahead of their Detroit stop on March 6th at El Club, the band led by musician, producer and songwriter Mike Milosh has returned with their excellent sophomore record Blood, which finds the band tapping into the live energy of their shows on the new album.

WDET’s Ryan Patrick Hooper spoke with Milosh about the new album.

It took about two and half years to write the record,” Milosh says of Blood. “Very early on, I knew I wanted it to be a very live sounding record because I wanted to be very connected to the live show.”
