This installment of The Progressive Underground is a special edition featuring visual artist Tafari K. Stevenson-Howard, who’s “The Couch: Beautiful” series will soon be unveiled at the Brix Wine & Charcuterie Boutique celebrating nationally-renowned Detroit-based black women.  The show will feature music of those featured such as DJ Minx, Diviniti, Mahogany Jones, Les Nubians, Ideeyah and many others in the exhibit along with an exclusive interview with Tafari K. Stevenson-Howard. Also accompanying Howard in-studio are Brix owner Mikiah Westbrooks and WDET’s Candice Fortman (who is also featured in the exhibit).  

Also spotlighted in tonight’s playlist are new works from Kraak & Smaak, Evidence, Soft Glas, Kali Uchis, Kai Alce, Emdee Brown, One Freq, Van Ark, Teisha Marie Shochi Terada, Ego Ella May, Collective Peace, Jon Dixon, Eri Ohno, GoGo Penguin, Reginald Omas Mamode IV, and many more!
