Nassar Faces More Victims in Second Sexual Assault Sentencing Hearing

Convicted sexual abuser and former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar is back in court today for another sentencing hearing.

Nassar is expected to hear from a series of women who say he was supposed to treat their injuries but molested them instead.

It’s the second sentencing hearing for Nassar on sexual assault charges.

He pleaded guilty to abusing young girls and teenagers at a gymnastics club in Michigan’s Eaton County.

About 60 people are expected to confront the former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University doctor.

It follows a week of statements from victims of Nassar at a previous hearing in Michigan.

The judge in that case sentenced Nassar to up to 175 years in prison, saying she had “signed his death warrant.”

USA Gymnastics officials resigned over the matter.

So did Michigan State’s president and athletics director.

Michigan’s Attorney General has also named a special prosecutor to investigate how MSU handled complaints made against Nassar.
