Car Subscription Service Could Come to Michigan

Michigan’s No-Fault insurance law makes it hard for this car subscription company to provide service to Detroiters.

There’s an unusual kind of karma at this week’s North American International Auto Show.

It’s the new car rental subscription service Carma Car…which operates kind of like a monthly phone plan.

Motorists pick a car, a monthly mileage plan and the rental is theirs. That is–except in Michigan.

Carma Co-founder Patrick Min tells WDET’s Bre’Anna Tinsley Michigan’s no-fault insurance law is preventing the company from bringing the service to its hometown.
