One of the most famous political figures In the history of Detroit is the city’s first black mayor, the late Coleman Young.

Now, as Detroiters prepare for new city elections, that famous name from the past is again on the ballot.

State Senator Coleman Young II is making a bid for the mayor’s office once held by his father.

 

 

Young tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter it’s a critical time for Detroiters to reexamine the city’s leadership.
