Detroit Live Block Party Aims to Show Off Community Near Heidelberg Project

Detroit Live is a free block party happening Saturday at the Heidelberg Project on Detroit’s eastside. The longtime staple in the city’s arts community is hoping to introduce new faces to the neighborhood. WDET’s Ryan Patrick Hooper speaks with Heidelberg Project chief executive officer Jenenne Whitfield and Detroit Live creator Donna Kassab about the event, which happens Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
