Think of it as 30 mini-career retrospectives of Detroit and Michigan artists in 800 words or less written by local writers and journalists. That’s the concept behind Essay’d, which releases its second volume of collected works and writing tonight at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. The event is free & open to the public. CultureShift spoke with editor-in-chief Matthew Piper to find out more. Listen above.
