Head Start Programs Looking for Staff

50+ positions available at job fair

Detroit’s largest early childhood learning program is looking for help. The Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan and Head Start plan to host a job fair next week. It’s an effort to fill over 50 positions including teachers, aides and other positions.

Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan Senior Program Officer, Kamilah Henderson says a new, more collaborative approach, to Head Start in Metro Detroit is increasing opportunities to fund more programs for young children and families.

“Talent recruitment efforts, including the job fair, are made possible with ongoing funding by the HeadStart Innovation Fund. And the innovation fund is supported by ten regional and national foundations. And it’s managed by the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan”       -Kamilah Henderson

Henderson says the job fair is scheduled for August 3rd at the Southfield Hilton Garden Inn.
