The FBI is investigating the stabbing of a police officer at a Flint airport.

Officials say it is too soon to determine whether the incident was an act of terrorism.

The attack occurred in the main terminal of Bishop International Airport in Flint.

A man stabbed an airport police officer in the neck before being detained, the knife falling near him on the ground.

Officials reportedly say the man is from Canada and allegedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” as he began the attack.

The officer is listed in stable condition after surgery.

The airport was evacuated.

Police say it appears the attack was an isolated incident.

But Flint Mayor Karen Weaver says several law enforcement agencies are involved in the investigation and security around the Flint City Hall was increased as a precaution.
