Detroiters can now pay their water bills at kiosks across the city.

The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department has partnered with DTE Energy and the Wayne County Treasurer’s Office to set up the system.

DWSD Director Gary Brown says the kiosks operate similarly to an ATM.

“You can use it to check your account information, you can use it to pay your bill, either with cash, personal check,” Brown says. “And most importantly there is no extra fee.”

Brown says the kiosks offer English, Spanish and Arabic language options.

He says all residents need is their address to bring up their accounts and pay.
