The Environmental Protection Agency has filed a lawsuit against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for allegedly cheating on emission tests.

The EPA says the automaker used devices to defeat emission tests in 104,000  RAM pickup trucks and Jeep Grand Cherokees from the 2014 to 2016 model years.

The agency claims the vehicles had at least eight software-based features that allowed emissions above EPA standards.

Fiat Chrysler says in a statement that it is currently reviewing the complaint and is disappointed that the lawsuit was filed.

The company announced last week that it has updated emission software calibrations for its 2017 model year Jeep Grand Cherokees and Ram diesel pickups.

The automaker says it hopes to retrofit affected vehicles from the 2014 to 2016 model years.
