Its an all Black Women Rock (BWR) edition on this weekend’s The Progressive Underground w/ Chris Campbell as international artist and BWR founder Jessica Care Moore touches down in the WDET 101.9FM studios to talk about this year’s Black Women Rock show taking place on Saturday, March 18, at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. We also interview Steffanie Christi’an, Divinity Roxx, Tamar-kali, Zakiya Harris, Navasha Daya, Ideeyah Johnson, Jessie Wagner and various other artists participating with this year’s show!
We also feature a rock-centric playlist featuring past and present BWR performers and other women of color who have rocked the ages. The action happens this Sunday, March 12, 8-11 pm EST on 101.9 WDET and wdet.org.
