WDET’s New Soul Sunday Honors Late Detroit Producer J Dilla



Today legendary Detroit producer James Yancey known better by his stage names J Dilla and Jay Dee would have turned 43. Heralded as one of the most influential hip-hop producers of all time, his work with artists like Erykah Badu, Common, A Tribe Called Quest and many more changed the sound of hip-hop.
