Moving Detroit’s Kids Into a World-Class City

New strategic planning process aims to help young Detroiters grow up with best resources possible

A new initiative in Detroit is hoping to harness some of the positive desire for change in the city. Hope Starts Here is a program funded by the Kresge and Kellogg Foundations as an effort to create an action plan for early childhood education and resources in the city. Kourtney Neloms is a Parent Leader for the project. She tells WDET’s Amy Miller that it’s part of making Detroit a world-class city.
