Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy is dropping the murder charges against the main suspect in the killing of a Wayne State University police officer. DeAngelo Davis was arrested and jailed in November. He has been released from police custody and is no longer a suspect in the death of 28-year-old officer Collin Rose. Rose was shot and killed on-duty late last month on an off-campus site. Wayne State University Police Chief Anthony Holt says the murder investigation will continue.
“It’s been an around the clock, tremendous effort by the Detroit Homicide Task Force as well as community support and the university campus which remains very safe. I want everyone to know that I am confident that the correct suspect will be brought to justice.”

Detroit Police Chief James Craig says there’s a $15,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of Rose’s killer.
