During this holiday season some in Britain are celebrating with a bit of Motown.

Specifically Motown’s Martha Reeves, lead singer of the group Martha and the Vandellas and a former member of the Detroit City Council.

Reeves begins a concert tour in the United Kingdom next month that includes a date in Liverpool.

Reeves tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter she has a long history with people in Liverpool and with the town’s most famous native sons.
