Unpopular Candidates Could Affect Races Down the Ballot

Recent polls show more voters have an unfavorable opinion of presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton than a favorable one. Pundits have asked whether their unpopularity will hurt their parties’ candidates in other races, such as the Michigan Legislature. Susan Demas of Inside Michigan Politics tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller their high negative ratings—and Governor Rick Snyder’s unpopularity—could affect a handful of State House races.
