Trump to Speak at Detroit Economic Club

Donald Trump makes his case for the White House next week in Detroit before business leaders who backed his rivals.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump travels to Detroit next week to make his case for the White House before a crowd of business leaders.

The Detroit Economic Club often plays host to presidential candidates.

But rarely one like Donald Trump.

The GOP presidential nominee won Michigan’s March primary by talking tough on trade issues and vowing to clamp down on automakers who move production overseas.

That left many in the crowd of business leaders Trump will face backing his Republican rivals.

The Trump campaign believes victory in a series of states in the industrial Midwest, including Michigan, will be enough to propel him to the White House.
