DO you know there’s a Disneyland in Hamtramck?

Read on.

The Hatch Arts Collective and Gallery exists in an old Hamtramck Police Station. In kind, the programming they offer is often arresting. One need look no further than the current solo show from artist Timmy Lampinen, a Kresge Arts Fellow perhaps better known as Timmy Vulgur for his bands such as Clone Defects, Human Eye and Timmy’s Organism. The show closes on July 30th.

Alice Schneider is an artist and gallery curator with Hatch. She spoke with WDET’s Travis Wright about the organization’s mission to save Hamtramck Disneyland and the volunteer-run organization’s kid’s summer art camp.
