Growers Ready for Good Cherry Harvest

Michigan produces 75% of tart cherries in U.S. and lots of sweet ones too

A mild winter and a lingering spring this year should mean a healthy cherry harvest across Michigan. Nikki Rothwell is an extension specialist with Michigan State University and the coordinator of the Northwest Michigan Horticulture Research Center. She tells WDET’s Amy Miller that this week most of the trees are finished blooming.
