Congress holds two hearings this week on the water crisis in Flint.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee heard testimony last month about how the water supply in Flint became tainted with lead.

This week some of the key officials involved in Flint’s water crisis are scheduled to testify including Governor Rick Snyder.

The head of the Environmental Protection Agency is set to appear as well as the former regional EPA Director who analyzed safety reports about the water quality in Flint.

The Chair of the House Oversight Committee, Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah,) toured Flint over the weekend, meeting with the city’s mayor and residents.

Chaffetz reportedly said in Flint “the system totally failed and people need to be held accountable.”
