Gatsby Glamour Invades Detroit Mansion

Rarely-opened Detroit mansion hosts party tonight celebrating the Great Gatsby.

In the annals of literature there may be no more beloved romance novel then the tale of the Great Gatsby.

The glamour of the 1920’s setting is such a draw that it’s serving as the theme for a party tonight in Detroit.

Organizer Alison Chevalier says the Gatsby Winter Gala, taking place in Detroit’s opulent Charles Fisher Mansion, will help raise funds for the homeless.

But she tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter the event is also designed to attract a diverse crowd.
