Congress to Grill Michigan Officials Over Flint Water Crisis

Some Congressional Dems in Michigan unhappy Governor not called to testify at hearing on water tainted by lead in Flint.

Congress plans a hearing this week on how Flint’s water supply became tainted with lead.

The hearing, by the U.S. House Oversight Committee, was requested by Michigan Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence.

She tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter the hearing is a necessary step to understand who’s responsible for the contaminated water and how to prevent a similar situation ever occurring in the future.
