Property Taxes Reflecting Property Value These Days?

New tax data show many communities finally climbing back from recession while others still struggle

Some Michigan taxpayers and homeowners are still trying to recover from the recession that hit everywhere across the U.S. in 2007. Property values plummeted and although some have rebounded in the last couple of years, other areas are improving much more slowly. The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments or SEMCOG is releasing it’s new analysis of tax values called “Fiscal Capacity Outlook for 2016-2018”.
