Former FBI Agent and DCC CEO Andy Arena on staying prepared and vigilant in the face of terror threats

The attacks in Paris are creating a sense of vulnerability for some U.S. citizens and for security officials. Public safety agencies at all levels of government and the private sector have increased security protocols. Andy Arena is Executive Director of the Detroit Crime Commission. He also served as Special Agent in Charge at the Detroit Bureau of the FBI and after 9-11 was Chief of International Terrorism Operations in Washington D.C. He spoke with WDET’s Amy Miller about how we, as individual, can heighten personal awareness. He also explained how ISIS operates on a different level than Al-Qaeda.
