Detroit King High School Will Play Cass Tech for PSL Division One Championship

Detroit King High School WILL play Cass Tech in the PSL Division 1 football championship Friday night.  The game had been called off after an incident involving King’s football team during a game with Cody High School last Friday night.

But King parents petitioned for the decision to be reversed at a meeting Monday night.  DPS Emergency Manager Darnell Earley decided on Tuesday to reinstate the championship game.

Tom Markowski is the Editor for the State Champs sports network, which covers high school sports around Michigan.    WDET’s Jerome asked Markowski about the rivalry between King and Cass Tech.

The PSL Division 1 championship between King and Cass Tech will be played at 7 p.m. Friday at Ford Field.
