Broadway Star Brings ‘Bemused’ Vision to Detroit’s Cabaret 313

Stage actor and singer Christine Andreas performs her favorite pairings of songs and composers in Detroit Saturday.

Detroit’s Cabaret 313 opens its third season this weekend with an intimate musical performance from a veteran star of the Broadway stage.

Singer Christine Andreas, a Tony award nominee for her work in Broadway revivals of shows like “Oklahoma,” brings her voice to Detroit in a show she calls “Bemused.”

Andreas tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter the show is perfect for Detroit’s cabaret setting, because to her it feels almost like she’s performing in a church.

In reality Andreas will do two shows at the historic Players’ Club Playhouse in Detroit Saturday night.
