Metro Detroit Groups Say Region is Ready for Influx of Syrian Refugees

The U.S. is preparing to accept 10,000 refugees from Syria and many of them may resettle in Metro Detroit.

The Obama Administration says the U.S. will accept 10,000 additional refugees from Syria. And many of them may resettle in Metro Detroit.

The head of the Arab American and Chaldean Council, Haifa Fakhouri, says those refugees could be a boon to the area because they would be able to create businesses and help populate desolate areas of Detroit.
