The Macomb County’s 2016 budget includes is cyber security, sexual violence prevention and body cameras for deputies.

The Macomb County Board of Commissioners is putting the final touches on the proposed 2016 budget. It will include funding for cyber security throughout the county, a sexual violence prevention program, and body cameras for all deputies in the Sheriff’s Department.

Commissioner Fred Miller says the budget shows that the county is doing very well.

“We have another balanced budget, we have a substantial fund balance, and we’re making choices to invest in our infrastructure including our work force and our people. And we are taking steps to address and manage our legacy cost,” Miller says.

He says the budget does not include any layoffs or significant cuts to services.
