Author J. Ryan Stradal makes his debut with ‘Kitchens of the Great Midwest’.

new novel titled “Kitchens of the Great Midwest” explores the culinary culture of the Great Lakes region. The book – which is full of detailed recipes – follows the story of a young woman’s relationship with her mother as she becomes an iconic chef. Author J. Ryan Stradal tells WDET’s Travis Wright that the story he set out to write isn’t the story that he ultimately told.
