How Pluto Mission Has Reshaped Space Research [report]

New report shows how much women have contributed to New Horizons research.

NASA’s New Horizons space probe flew past Pluto last week, sending detailed images and a lot of data back to Earth. A new report says the mission has changed space exploration and renewed the public’s interest in it. The study was published by Mendeley, an Internet program that helps scientists manage and share their research. Mendeley’s Educational Resources Manager, Paul Tavner, tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller New Horizons could help launch the careers of future scientists–especially women, who have already contributed much of the research for the mission.
