James Linck Takes a Big Step with ‘Small World’

Genre-bending vocalist James Linck throws hip-pop falsetto on top of deep beats with his latest record’Small World’

“When I wrote this I was kind of in a state of despair… once I started to work on the production, my feelings started to level out.”

R&B singer-songwriter James Linck

James Linck is cooler than a polar bear’s toe nail. His introspective album The Fortress of Solitude laid the groundwork for his brand of chilled-out, electro-tinged R&,  fostered by Detroit producers Eddie Logix and Jon Zott.

Hanging out with WDET’s Travis Wright, Linck debuts songs from his sophomoric attempt Small World, including the title track, plus the Hamtramck heart warmer “Spark the Babies” and party anthem”What Up”.
