How Do Michigan’s Counties Compare in Wealth? [Map]

This interactive map allows you compare and contrast measurements of wealth between Michigan counties.

Here you can look at a range of wealth indicators, including annual median household income and per capita income, as measured by the U.S. Census Bureau, as well as personal income per capita as calculated by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

You can switch between or apply multiple indicators to the map by clicking the layer bar in the upper right corner. To find out more information on a specific county, simply hover over the locality of interest and click.

So where does Oakland County rank?

While Oakland County has long been hailed as No. 1 in the state for wealth, it is actually surpassed by Livingston County when comparing median household income figures.
