Canada’s Consul General in Detroit Closely Watches Trade Issues

Consul General of Canada Douglas George concerns himself with U.S. – Canada trade issues.

Canada and the U.S. are involved in a trade dispute.  On Thursday, Canada asked the World Trade Organization to impose more than $3 billion  in tariffs on the U-S over the disagreement concerning meat imports.

One of the people watching the situation closely is Douglas George.  He’s the Consul General of Canada in Detroit.

George keeps a close eye on how U.S.– Canadian relations play out in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky — especially when it comes to trade.  He recently spoke with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn about another important business: the auto industry.
