People Travel From Around the World to Birthplace of Techno, Movement 2015

The Movement Electronic Music Festival happens every year in Detroit, bringing thousands of music fans from all over the world to the birthplace of techno.

This year, WDET’s team was on site at Movement asking fellow electronic music lovers to share how far they traveled to get to this year’s festival. We met people from all around the country and the world.

For WDET listeners the party never stops. WDET’s ALPHA delivers a stream of electronic music and progressive soul from Detroit year-round. It is a collection of highly distinctive, auteur-driven original mixes from WDET, Ghostly International, StudioFeed, and Paxahau, including mixes from previous Movement festivals. Listen weeknights at 1 a.m. live on WDET 101.9 FM or launch the 24/7 stream at alphamusicdetroit.com.
