WDET Wins 3 Michigan Associated Press Awards

WDET recently received 3 Michigan Associated Press awards for our coverage of Detroit’s recent water shutoffs, our website, and “Detroit Agenda,” a series that asks Detroiters what  they want for their communities.

  • Best Continuing Coverage: “Water Shutoffs”
  • Second Place for Best Website: WDET.org
  • Second Place for Best News Documentary/Series: “Detroit Agenda”

It has been a great year for Detroit’s public radio station. This year WDET was named Michigan Association of Broadcasters’ Station of the Year and also received 14 awards from the Detroit Society of Professional Journalists

Thank you to the listeners and readers that inspire us to do our best work every day and to the members, sponsors and other supporters who make it all possible!
