Jessica Care Moore is a poet, filmmaker and the executive producer of "Black Women Rock."

Poet and Spoken word performer jessica Care moore was on one of the panels at Motor City Drive, a conversation about Detroit’s creative spirit featuring NPR’s Michel Martin.  She spoke passionately about her love for Detroit and the artist’s need to travel to survive.  She made it very clear that you can take an artist out of Detroit, but you can’t take Detroit out of the artist.

She joins Travis Wright and NPR’s Michel Martin for a discussion about her background, her work with Black Women Rock! and Detroit’s creative community in changing times.
