Detroit Police Chief Calls Spike In Homicide Rate Misleading

It’s been a tough year so far for some police departments.

Tension over shootings in Baltimore and other cities spilled-over into protests and unrest.

Congress is contemplating launching a review of the nation’s entire criminal justice system.

And homicide is once again on the rise in Detroit.

But a man who worked with law enforcement in Cincinnati and Los Angeles, Detroit Police Chief James Craig, tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter that crime statistics can be misleading.
