Windsor Turkey Population Rapidly Increasing
Windsor residents are spotting turkeys all around the city.
Windsor residents have been noticing an increase in wild turkeys around town lately. The species has been seen in backyards, crossing streets and on top of low-hanging roofs. Tom Preney is a Naturalist at the Ojibway Nature Center in Windsor. He tells WDET’s Marissa Gawel that turkeys are a relatively recent addition to the city.
