It’s been 11 years since Prince performed in Detroit, but tonight at the Fox, the artist returns to a city he once considered a second home.
The show tonight is a stop on Prince’s Hit and Run tour, a tour where Prince announces a date only a week ahead of time and then shows up and plays. WDET’s Ann Delisi says people did not even know where Prince was playing until Monday of this week when tickets went on sale. Tickets which sold out within minutes.
“If you had not been thinking about Prince, you certainly thinking about him now, even if you aren’t going to the show,” says Delisi.
Delisi says that you can expect to hear a little bit of everything from Prince, and his all woman band 3rd Eye Girl, at his show tonight. Also, that you can expect a lot of jealousy from everyone who did not manage to get a ticket.
