Agent: Investors Buying Detroit Property Unfairly Criticized

An agent for those purchasing hundreds of foreclosed Detroit homes says investors are being unfairly tarnished.

   Wayne County officials are allowing home owners more time to pay past-due property taxes, stave-off foreclosure and keep their house off of the auction block.

   Those who purchase homes at the county auctions are sometimes painted as either greedy speculators or uncaring landlords.

   But an agent for the firm Blackbird Asset Management – Eric Novack – tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter those investing in Detroit properties are getting a bum rap…
